Job Summary
Posting Summary
Provide leadership direction and oversight for facilities of the Dudley H. Davis Center a 200000 square foot student union and conference center. Coordinate services with various campus partners including Physical Plant Grounds Facilities Design & Construction and Custodial Services as well as external contractors. Oversee daily facilities functions. Recommend and oversee building maintenance repairs and renovation projects ensuring compliance with UVM and Davis Center standards and safety measures. Assist with developing facilities budgets and monitor expenditures. Manage building furniture and equipment and coordinate purchasing repair and disposal. Coordinate with the Business Manager and Associate Director to create short term and long-term plans for equipment replacement and building renewal. Oversee building tenant relationships addressing needs and space concerns. Participate in developing maintaining and communicating emergency preparedness plans and policies. Supervise facilities staff. Operate with a high degree of independence in managing daily facility needs while supporting strategic priorities established by departmental leadership.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge/experience with construction/ renovation. Familiarity with collective bargaining. Understanding of room scheduling software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite.
