QUALIFICATIONS
The knowledge skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
Bachelors degree in an Information Technology related field.
Coursework related to database concepts security principles and data architecture.
Four years of experience working in a database environment which includes the application of systems design and integration concepts.
Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Data Architect supports the Research Analytics and Planning Unit within the Innovation Bureau. This position plays a critical role in producing accurate high-quality data for highvisibility reports dashboards and data products used by the Department other state agencies partner organizations and the public. As a Data Architect youll play a key role in delivering the Departments data warehouse and supporting data driven decision making.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency strong analytical judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with audiences possessing varied levels of technical expertise. A meticulous approach to data integrity and security is essential.
Develop review and maintain complex SQL queries views procedures and functions within the Departments data warehouse
Model complex correctional data into logical schemas for multiple use cases
Produce highquality data reports and visualizations
Deliver timely and accurate data for internal and external requests
Manage user access and data collection within the Departments data warehouse
Support the implementation of data security standards
Maintain data shares between DOC internal and external partners
