Job Description:

At the Nebraska Department of Education good data means good decisions and good decisions mean better outcomes for Nebraskas K-12 students. As a Data Quality & Business Analyst youll dig into business processes and system operations to make sure NDEs systems are accurate efficient and built to last. If youre a detail-oriented puzzler who wants to make sure things work exactly as they should this role is for you.

Youll collaborate across offices to analyze and document business needs evaluate software solutions coordinate cross-functional projects and ensure program logic is correct and calculating the way it should. Its methodical meaningful work in service of Good Life Great Schools Excellent Education.

Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St Lincoln NE.

Pay Grade 10: $37.346/hour

This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

  • Essential Functions

    Working Conditions and Travel:

    This position requires approximately 90% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 10% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as schools educational service units and other service agencies. There is also approximately five days of overnight travel per year.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education andor work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Certification related to Lean Six Sigma or ITIL Service Management experience with automated testing systems (e.g. Selenium Playwright) and understanding of educational entities and K-12 education environments.
