Pay Rate: Up to $29.00/hr W2
Schedule: Monday to Friday Day Shift
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire candidates must be eligible and interested in converting to permanent full-time employment
Job Description:
SunSoft Online is seeking a Data Network Telecom Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity with an Arizona state agency in Phoenix. This hands-on role installs repairs splices tests and terminates copper fiber and coax cabling; installs and maintains network and communications equipment (routers switches video systems security and access-control equipment public address systems); and schedules and coordinates installation repair and preventative maintenance projects with vendors contractors and agency units including oversight of contractor resources on site.
Required (one of the following):
- 4 years of Cable Technician experience installing and maintaining digital computer systems and peripheral equipment or telephone station equipment and related systems or
- 2 years as a Lead Cable Technician
- (Technical training in electronics telecommunications or digital systems from an accredited program may substitute for one year of experience)
Preferred:
- Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT)
- BICSI certification
Additional Requirements:
- Local to Phoenix; current city must be listed on resume
- 100% onsite; in-person interview within 1 week of posting close; start within 2 weeks of offer
- Must be eligible to convert to FTE; W2 only US Citizens and Green Card holders (no sponsorship)

Required Skills:
4 years of Cable Technician experience installing and maintaining digital computer systems and peripheral equipment or telephone station equipment and related systems or 2 years as a Lead Cable Technician (Technical training in electronics telecommunications or digital systems from an accredited program may substitute for one year of experience)
