Required education:Bachelors degree in Data Science Information Management GIS or a related field or five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance metadata management or geospatial data integration.
Description:
- Establish and maintain metadata governance frameworks ensuring compliance with DoD data management policies and interoperability with a Data Catalog.
- Develop automated metadata tagging processes to improve data discoverability classification and lineage tracking within the Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) platform.
- Implement and manage data governance workflows ensuring integration with OpenLineage Unity Catalog and GIS metadata standards.
- Submit the Metadata & Data Governance Compliance Report detailing lineage tracking classification policies and security enhancements.
- Possess the knowledge and capability to develop implement and maintain data governance frameworks ensuring metadata consistency lineage tracking and interoperability between Data Lake ESRI Kubernetes environments and external data sources.
- Must be proficient in metadata management data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage) schema alignment and governance best practices.
- Expertise in geospatial data standards data cataloging and compliance with DoD metadata policies is required.
- Must have demonstrated experience in implementing metadata governance frameworks for structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments.
- Must have demonstrated experience in tracking data lineage and ensuring metadata synchronization across a Data Catalog ESRI Kubernetes and enterprise metadata repositories.
- Must have demonstrated experience in utilizing OpenLineage Apache Atlas or similar tools for metadata and data lineage management.
- Must have demonstrated experience in enforcing compliance with DoD metadata policies and NSG tradecraft standards for geospatial datasets.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
