Pantheon Data was founded in 2011 initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years including infrastructure resiliency contact center operations information technology software engineering program management strategic communications engineering and cybersecurity. Position Overview

The Data Engineering Technical Expert provides senior-level leadership and technical direction for enterprise data engineering data architecture and analytics initiatives supporting the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Data and Analytics (CG-ODA). This role leads high-complexity projects involving data modernization cloud transformation data governance and enterprise engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data engineering and architecture initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategic data engineering roadmaps.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Oversee compliance with federal policies standards and regulations.
• Advise executive leadership on technical investments and modernization efforts.
• Review project deliverables for quality completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate stakeholders across multiple programs and domains.
• Support AI analytics metadata management and data governance initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Data Engineering Systems Engineering Computer Science or related field.
• CSPO DHS Mid-Level Project Management Certification or equivalent.
• 10 years of relevant experience or 8 years with a Masters degree.
• Experience leading enterprise data engineering projects within federal environments.
• Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook Word Excel SharePoint and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements

Work Location: Hybrid - USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeths Campus in D.C.)

• Hybrid work schedule with on-site support as required.

• If the position is remote or hybrid you may periodically work from a Pantheon Data office location or client site.
• If this position is assigned to a Pantheon Data office location or client site youll work with colleagues and clients in person as needed for specific client requirements.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100000 - $200000. This is not however a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather salary will be set based on experience geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
