Role:
The Technology & Data team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer II to support the design development and optimization of enterprise data solutions within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for building scalable data pipelines integrating data across multiple platforms and delivering high-quality data assets that support analytics reporting and business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Databricks SQL SQL Server SSIS PL/SQL and healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks and SQL technologies.
• Build and optimize data ingestion transformation and integration processes across healthcare systems and enterprise data sources.
• Develop and support data warehouses data marts and analytical data models.
• Create optimize and maintain complex SQL queries stored procedures views functions and database objects.
• Develop and support SSIS packages and data integration workflows.
• Utilize Databricks Apache Spark and Delta Lake technologies to process and transform large datasets.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders analysts architects and application teams to deliver effective data solutions.
• Monitor data quality and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Support HIPAA compliance data governance and data security initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and data mappings.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering Data Warehousing or a related technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Advanced SQL development skills including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server including stored procedures indexing and database performance tuning.
• Experience developing and supporting SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages.
• Experience with PL/SQL development.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Healthcare industry experience working with claims provider member clinical or operational healthcare data.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python and PySpark.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7 FHIR ICD-10 and CPT.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD deployment practices.
• Databricks certification preferred.
