Data Engineer Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean VA or Boston MA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role will involve working on a Python-based AWS-native data ingestion platform that handles financial data. The ideal candidate will utilize a range of AWS services including CDK Glue Spark Lambda and Flink to move data from source systems into a third-party application.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain pipeline stages across ingest validation tokenization reformatting and publishing backed by rigorous unit and end-to-end testing
• Support E2E/system test phases
• Drive compliance with data-protection standards (HSHD/sensitive-data handling)
• Remediate security findings and vulnerabilities across the codebase and dependencies

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Strong proficiency in AWS (Lambda ECS Kinesis S3 DynamoDB IAM CDK)
• Solid Git/CI-CD discipline

Pay range: $59.28 - $67.28 per hour
