Job Summary

Primary Purpose:

Work closely with the Compliance Manager to provide technical and organizational leadership for the Head Start programs database environment.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel Access Word Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills that include hands-on use of a network system and various software applications
  • Strong coordination skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of databases and data mining

Experience:

  • Strong experience in data collection data input database maintenance and data analysis
  • Experience in staff training preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Model HCDE and Head Starts mission vision and values.
  • Develop and coordinate relevant report design production distribution storage and maintenance program.
  • Manage all data projects and prepare required data reports in a timely manner including but not limited to the annual Program Information Report (PIR) the Annual Report the Monthly Performance Report and other reports as requested.
  • Create reports and products based on reporting needs of the programs.
  • Facilitate communication between Head Start and other database administrators and developers.
  • Provide consistent customer service support to center-based staff Coordinators and Data Compliance Specialists.
  • Provide database training and orientation technical assistance and database support to program users.
  • Serve as the database administrator for the programs main data collection program by coordinating the development and maintenance of the system.
  • Coordinate relevant report design production distribution and storage of data for the Head Start program.
  • Attend meetings with appropriate Head Start staff related to the use of the database.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
