Job Summary
Primary Purpose:
Work closely with the Compliance Manager to provide technical and organizational leadership for the Head Start programs database environment.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel Access Word Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills that include hands-on use of a network system and various software applications
- Strong coordination skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solid understanding of databases and data mining
Experience:
- Strong experience in data collection data input database maintenance and data analysis
- Experience in staff training preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Model HCDE and Head Starts mission vision and values.
- Develop and coordinate relevant report design production distribution storage and maintenance program.
- Manage all data projects and prepare required data reports in a timely manner including but not limited to the annual Program Information Report (PIR) the Annual Report the Monthly Performance Report and other reports as requested.
- Create reports and products based on reporting needs of the programs.
- Facilitate communication between Head Start and other database administrators and developers.
- Provide consistent customer service support to center-based staff Coordinators and Data Compliance Specialists.
- Provide database training and orientation technical assistance and database support to program users.
- Serve as the database administrator for the programs main data collection program by coordinating the development and maintenance of the system.
- Coordinate relevant report design production distribution and storage of data for the Head Start program.
- Attend meetings with appropriate Head Start staff related to the use of the database.
- Maintain data confidentiality and data integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
