Job Summary
Data Collection Admin Staff needed to support the Indiana Department of Corrections Sex and Violent Offender Registration and Victim Services Division in statutory offender registration responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Research and collect court documents
  • Analyze and interpret collected documents
  • Communicate with local and state law enforcement agencies
  • Enter data into a designated web portal and data systems
  • Handle multiple complex tasks with accurate timely decision-making
  • Maintain working relationships with Department personnel and external agency staff
  • Work independently with periodic review for accuracy and policy compliance
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Division Staff

Experience

  • Broad experience with data collection and data entry
  • Experience working with court documents and legal jargon
  • Research experience (highly desired)
  • Familiarity with criminal history records Triple Is probable cause affidavits conviction/sentencing documents presentence investigation reports court orders (highly desired)

Key Skills

  • Broad knowledge of the Indiana Criminal Code and the Criminal Justice System
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to process detailed sensitive data accurately
  • Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships across departments and agencies

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required (Masters preferred or equivalent work experience considered)
