Data center Technician S3

We are seeking a Data Center Technician to support server and hardware operations in a data center environment. The ideal candidate should have strong hardware troubleshooting cabling and IT support experience along with good attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install set up and decommission servers racks switches and hardware.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and troubleshoot server issues.
• Replace faulty components and complete repairs with minimal downtime.
• Handle cabling labeling staging and quality checks.
• Follow safety procedures and escalation processes.
• Complete tickets and tasks within SLA timelines.
• Create and update technical documentation and SOPs.
• Support deployment activities and daily data center operations.

Requirements:

• 2 years of data center technician experience.
• Strong server hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Windows Server WinPE and basic Linux.
• Knowledge of Layer 1 3 networking.
• Experience with diagnostics firmware updates and IPMI tools.
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell Python or Bash preferred).
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CompTIA A Server CCNA or related certifications.
• Associate degree in IT Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with virtual machines and PXE environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and stand/walk for extended periods.
