Data Center Technician

Pay Range: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience qualifications and skills.

Outsource is seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure operations in Fort Wayne Indiana. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with at least 2 years of experience maintaining server hardware and network equipment in a data center environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring uptime security and operational efficiency of the facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Install configure and maintain servers switches and other data center hardware
• Monitor system performance and respond promptly to alerts or outages
• Perform routine inspections of power cooling and cabling infrastructure
• Execute hardware break-fix tasks including component replacement and troubleshooting
• Document maintenance activities incidents and configuration changes
• Support rack and stack of new equipment and decommissioning of retired assets
• Collaborate with network and systems teams to resolve technical issues

  Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working in a data center or similar IT infrastructure environment
• Solid understanding of server hardware networking fundamentals and cabling standards
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds as needed
• Comfortable working in a 24/7 operational environment including on-call rotations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under time pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams

  Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $15.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience qualifications and project requirements
