Location: Dallas TX (100% Onsite Position)

Duration: Long Term

Job Description:

As a Datacenter Network Engineer responsibilities will include designing implementing and maintaining the network infrastructure within the BD S&C datacenter environment. The primary focus will be on ensuring the stability security and scalability of the datacenter network while also providing support and troubleshooting for network-related issues. This particular role requires a deep understanding of network protocols hardware and software as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Dell Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain the network infrastructure within the datacenter environment ensuring high availability scalability and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design network solutions that meet business needs.
• Configure and deploy network devices including Cisco Nexus switches Cisco routers Cisco Firepower firewalls F5 load balancers and other network equipment.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network operation and minimize downtime.
• Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls intrusion detection systems and access control policies.
• Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
• Collaborate with system administrators and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and end-users for network-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in network technologies and make recommendations for network infrastructure improvements.
• Document network configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on datacenter environments.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP BGP OSPF MPLS VLANs and VPNs.
• Strong understanding of network hardware such as Cisco Nexus switches Cisco routers Cisco Firepower firewalls and F5 load balancers.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as Cisco Secure Workload and SolarWinds.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices including firewalls IDS/IPS and access control.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA CCNP are highly desirable.
