Job Summary

Has a strong understanding of critical facilities operations and works on a broad range of engineering assignments requiring sound judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations. The role focuses on executing operational maintenance and incidentresponse activities using a solid understanding of standard operating procedures while supporting overall site reliability and team effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Facility / Infrastructure Maintenance

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on facility components and systems to support reliable operations

• Executes repairs maintenance activities installations and onsite inspections across facility systems supporting energy efficiency initiatives where applicable

• Monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolves alarms requiring judgment and analysis while adhering to standard operating procedures

• Operates and maintains plumbing fire suppression and safety systems in accordance with site standards

• Supports operation of critical infrastructure escalating complex or highrisk activities to senior engineers when required

• Performs daytoday work with limited instruction and receives general guidance for newly introduced tasks or nonroutine activities

Vendor Support

• Supports the work approval and oversight process for service providers performing maintenance activities including prework briefings monitoring work execution and reviewing completed work

• Ensures vendor maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with Equinix standard operating procedures and safety requirements

• Works with vendors to update technical documentation drawings and records for facility plants and equipment to ensure accuracy and completeness

Site Administration & Incident Support

• Prepares and maintains site documentation and permit records including Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and scripts

• Identifies Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) within facility systems and provides recommendations to improve resilience

• Responds to onsite incidents including equipment failures operational issues and service delays following established incident procedures

• Applies a strong understanding of operating procedures to support onsite administration and compliance

Work Orders & Additional Projects

• Completes operational work requests and supports facilityrelated system and circuit installations

• Performs troubleshooting and maintenance of auxiliary and supporting equipment to minimize downtime

• Makes approved changes to mechanical electrical and specialized systems as directed

• Supports and participates in infrastructure and site improvement projects

Collaboration

• Collaborates with crossfunctional teams to resolve facility incidents and operational issues

• Works effectively within the department and may provide guidance or informal mentoring to team members on general maintenance activities

• Communicates inventory and spareparts requirements to stakeholders to maintain appropriate stock levels

• May recommend facility or infrastructure improvement projects based on operational experience

Qualifications

Typical Degree & Years of Experience

• Typically requires a Diploma in an engineering field and 35 years of equivalent work experience preferably in critical facilities data center operations or a related technical environment

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - PH1 Philadelphia : 61200 - 91800 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role level and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus equity or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus and equity may be offered depending on the position.
