Here youll do more than join something youll add are seeking an analytical resource with data center experience to be a part of the Data Center Capacity Planning Strategy and Initiatives team. This team is responsible for providing centralized insight into data center physical infrastructure demand/supply capacity readiness and help identify opportunities for future Data Center builds. Additionally this role is hyper focused on the Remote Data Center space and will assist in managing Apple leased data centers around the globe. This role will help do critical data analysis and create metrics and benchmarks to bring capacity planning into the future.n

This role serves as a strategic nexus across data center engineering cloud platforms and data center operations ensuring the organization maintains a clear forward looking view of infrastructure capacity needs and risks. As Data Center Capacity Planning becomes increasingly supported by automation and AI driven analytics this role will focus on governance strategic interpretation of capacity insights and cross organizational alignment. The resource will help guide capacity planning discipline across teams translate infrastructure demand into actionable investment priorities and ensure data center physical infrastructure supports the companys growth.

Build analysis to provide holistic view of infrastructure demand capacity outlook and long term scaling considerations across physical and interpret infrastructure capacity insights from engineering and platform teams to inform leadership on data center capacity readiness growth projections and potential planning and coordination for physical data center infrastructure ensuring data center physical capacity readiness is aligned with infrastructure growth and platform and communicate infrastructure capacity risks and readiness gaps enabling proactive mitigation and supporting reliable data center and track performance metrics for capacity planning promoting consistent planning practices and operational discipline across the adoption of automation and AI driven analytics in data center capacity planning ensuring the organization leverages advanced insights while maintaining strategic cross functional collaboration and team development partnering with engineering cloud data center finance and supply chain teams to align infrastructure capacity planning with business and lead data center strategy development initiatives to solidify Apples long term data center strategy.

BS/MS in a related discipline or equivalent hands-on industry in data center colocation operations and management infrastructure operations cloud platforms capacity planning or engineering program leadershipnExperience coordinating cross team planning initiatives in complex infrastructure environmentsnAbility to translate infrastructure data and analytics into strategic insights for senior leadershipnStrong analytical communication and stakeholder management skills

3-5 years of experience in infrastructure operations cloud platforms capacity planning or engineering program leadership nStrong understanding of AI/ML compute infrastructure cloud platforms and large scale distributed systemsnUnderstanding of hybrid infrastructure environments spanning data center and cloud platformsnExperience with infrastructure planning capacity governance or infrastructure strategy functionsnExperience working with infrastructure telemetry observability platforms or capacity analytics toolsnExposure to AI driven analytics or automated infrastructure planning systems
