Data Architect, Enterprise Analytics

The Data Architect Enterprise Analytics designs builds and maintains data models within UVM Healths unified enterprise data model across the bronze silver and gold layers of the Microsoft Fabric lakehouse platform. Working under the standards and direction of the Sr. Data Architect this role develops well-structured well-documented and curated data models for assigned domains that serve the analytics needs of the organization with consistency reliability and high quality. The Data Architect partners closely with the Data Governance team to ensure governance is embedded in the data model and works directly with data engineers and analytics teams to support high-quality efficient analytics delivery.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Engineering Information Systems or related field required; Masters degree preferred.

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in data engineering data architecture or a related technical field.
• Experience designing and maintaining data models in a lakehouse or data warehouse environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Azure Synapse Databricks or equivalent cloud data platforms.
• Experience with medallion architecture (bronze silver gold layers) and lakehouse design patterns.
• Experience working within an agile engineering team preferred.
