Torch Technologies a 100% employee-owned company is seeking an intermediate Data Analyst/Optics Engineer. Primary duties will involve the design development and testing of advanced algorithms as well as data reduction and interpretation of data from real-time optical sensor platforms. A well-suited applicant will be a self-motivating individual capable of working independently and within a team environment and possess good oral and written communication skills. The position also includes opportunities to work hands-on with land sea and air-based sensors both in the lab and supporting test events.

As a Data Analyst/Optics Engineer your duties will include the following but are not limited to:

• Analyzingdata algorithms and their interaction to improve algorithm performance.

• Interpreting data performing statistical analysis and analyzing results using statistical techniques.

• Research and develop new analysis methodologies to improve analysis quality and efficiency.

• Collaborating withcross-functional teams.

• Presenting analysis to peers and management.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect organize and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship

• Bachelors Degreedegree in physics engineering or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience AND 5 years of related experience. OR

• Masters Degreedegree in physics engineering or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience AND 3 years of related experience.

• Active Secret Clearance and ability to maintain

• Multi-object detection association state estimation and tracking

• Multi-camera geometry and image calibration

• Data fusion and filtering

• Strong grasp of statistical methods and mathematical principles in data science algorithms

• In-depth knowledge of statistics probability and machine learning concepts

• Good computational software skills are required.

• Experience with MATLAB Java C and Python is desired
