Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Investment Banking (IB) Reporting team supporting key initiatives focused on data migration reconciliation reporting and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills hands-on experience with reporting tools and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced financial services environment.
The Role
Responsibilities:
  • Support data migration projects from legacy reporting platforms to modern reporting and analytics systems
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy completeness and consistency of data across systems
  • Analyze complex datasets and provide insights to support business reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain BI reports dashboards and analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI Cognos or similar platforms
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction validation and reporting needs
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective data solutions
  • Identify opportunities for automation process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Ensure high standards of data quality and support issue investigation and resolution
  • Communicate findings risks and progress clearly to business and technology teams
Requirements:
  • Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Experience in BI reporting and analytics with hands-on knowledge of Power BI Cognos or similar tools
  • Proven experience in data migration and reconciliation projects
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques
  • Exposure to automation initiatives and process improvement programs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Relevant experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services
  • Understanding of reporting processes controls and data governance in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with legacy-to-modern platform migration projects within reporting or analytics functions
