ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Data Analyst within Apex Tax & Cost Basis you will be responsible for analyzing data processes solving complex problems documenting procedures ensuring data quality and contributing to the improvement and automation of workflows. You will play a critical role in enhancing the teams efficiency and delivering data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced SQL and Claude AI skills to support the Tax & Cost Basis Operation teams.
• Evaluate data flows to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development and implementation of solutions.
• Ensure that solutions align with business needs and requirements.
• Analyze data trends and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for management.
• Develop maintain and enhance reporting to measure performance and support business decisions.
• Conduct software and data quality testing ensuring end-to-end processes achieve the desired outcomes.
• Update and implement written procedures for operational tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Operations and Development) to address data-related needs.
• Contribute to the development of automated workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual interventions.

Experience and Attributes:

• 13 years of experience in data analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented problem solver.
• Ability to adapt on-the-fly in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
• Understanding of the financial services industry particularly cost basis and tax reporting.
• Experience with APIs and Claude AI is a plus.
