The Target Data & Analytics team creates the tools and data products to sustainably educate and enable our business partners to make great data-based decisions at Target. We help develop the technology that personalizes the guest experience - from product recommendations to relevant ad content. Were also the source of the data and analytics behind Targets Search applications fraud detection Supply Chain optimization and demand forecasting. We play a key role in identifying the test-and-measure or A/B test opportunities that continuously help Target improve the guest experience whether they love to shop in stores or at .

As a Data Analyst you will leverage data statistics and visualization to generate actionable insights that drive value across multiple business functions.
In this role you will utilize market-leading tools data automation and analytical methodologies to support reporting and performance measurement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze trends optimize digital strategies and provide clear recommendations for business growth. We are looking for an analytical thinker with hands-on experience in data extraction transformation and visualization. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets building scalable reports and simplifying complex data to enable efficient decision-making. About you:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
1 year as a Data Analyst with strong academic performance in a quantitative field; or strong equivalent experience Intermediate SQL experience writing complex queries
Solid problem solving analytical skills data curiosity data mining Data creation and consolidation
Support conclusions with a clear understandable story that leverages descriptive statistics basic inferential statistics and data visualizations
Willingness to ask questions about business objectives and the measurement needs for a project workstream and be able to measure objectives & key results
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams and translate ideas between them
Knowledge of AB Testing methods time series S&OP planning Forecasting models including statistical analysis
Experience in analytics tools such as: SQL Excel Hadoop Hive Spark Python R Domo Adobe Analytics (or Google Analytics) and/or equivalent technologies
Builds detailed reports and dashboards using various tools designs and implements data visualizations to communicate complex data clearly. Prepare data models and analysis to identify analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for values and new opportunities.
Experience leveraging advanced analytics and AI-driven approaches (e.g. predictive modeling machine learning or AI-enabled tools) to enhance decision-making
Works closely with cross functional teams to understand data needs value opportunities and delivers solutions in partnership with digital technology and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy
Ensures the accuracy consistency and security of data across all reports and analysis
Cultivates and maintains positive partners relationships to understand their data needs provides insights and finds improvement opportunities and ensures reporting solutions address key objectives
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core rolewill need to beperformedboth onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned toandvirtuallydepending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
