AUDITOR CONTROLLER
The Auditor-Controllers Officeprovides professional accounting services to many clients and stakeholders while also meeting numerous legal mandates. Our customer focus includes the public County departments/agencies and employees individuals vendors and other governmental agencies.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Duties may include but are not limited to: Extract; data mine using data warehouse; access the departments computerized systems through Access Excel and/or Word; and input general information into various systems. Duties may also include researching established department policies researching vendor payments and assisting with miscellaneous special projects.

The Intern will be reporting to the Auditor-Controllers Chief of Staff and will be working out of the Auditor-Controller headquarters and will be assisting in data analytics projects which are part of the Enterprise Resource Planning implementation. This position will be supporting the Auditor-Controllers office through detailed research of county vendor compliance information.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
This recruitment is open to applicants who are currently pursuing or who have graduatedwithin the last six months with a bachelors or graduate degree from an accredited college or university.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The department is seeking students or recent graduates (within 6 months) who express a sincere interest in a career in the accounting division of a large governmental agency. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. Previous office experience is preferred.

TIME COMMITMENT
The internship isin-person only. Flexible hours but expected to be 5-15 hours per week for 10 - 12 weeks. Hours must be scheduled during normal business hours (Monday Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.). Applicants able to schedule the maximum hours/duration listed for the internship typically gain a more in-depth experience.
