Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Workflow Documentation
- Analyze and document current clinical workflows across healthcare facilities.
- Identify workflow gaps and recommend process improvements.
- Support standardization of clinical workflows within the EHR environment.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of clinical workflows and improvement recommendations.
Data Extraction Analysis & Reporting
- Extract and analyze data from Electronic Health Record systems.
- Validate clinical and operational data against trusted data sources.
- Create reports dashboards and visualizations to support healthcare operations and leadership decisions.
- Answer complex clinical and operational questions using EHR data.
Validation & Testing
- Perform validation and testing of EHR enhancements and updates.
- Conduct user-focused testing of system functionality and workflows.
- Support validation efforts for Medication Administration Records (MAR) and related initiatives.
- Identify and reduce data quality and validation gaps.
Clinical Support
- Serve as a clinical point of contact for EHR-related questions and requests.
- Provide guidance to medical staff on EHR workflows and data interpretation.
- Ensure documentation and processes are maintained for operational continuity.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of experience structuring unclassified medical data from unstructured clinical text and mapping data elements to standardized medical vocabularies.
- 5 years of experience extracting and analyzing data from Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- 5 years of experience validating EHR data using internal and external data sources.
- 5 years of experience documenting clinical workflows data entry processes and data management procedures.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards interoperability and clinical informatics principles.
- Experience applying national EHR standards within healthcare organizations.
- Experience supporting EHR implementation optimization and process standardization efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clinical and data-related findings effectively to healthcare professionals leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Clinical background in Nursing Medicine Pharmacy Healthcare Administration or related healthcare disciplines.
- Clinical Informatics experience.
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience in institutional or highly regulated healthcare environments.
- Experience with EHR validation testing and reporting tools.
- Experience developing clinical dashboards and healthcare analytics solutions.
