Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for a Dance and Drill Coach at Wachter Middle School.

Position Summary

The Head Dance & Drill Coach is responsible for leading the Wachter Middle School Dance & Drill Team by developing students dance skills teamwork leadership and school spirit in a safe positive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practices and performances.
• Teach dance technique and choreograph age-appropriate routines.
• Supervise students during all team activities.
• Promote teamwork sportsmanship discipline and leadership.
• Communicate effectively with students parents school staff and administration.
• Maintain uniforms equipment and team records.
• Follow all Bismarck Public Schools and NDHSAA policies and procedures.
• Complete assigned duties as directed by the principal or activities director.

Qualifications

• Dance drill or coaching experience preferred.
• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
• Completion of required district coaching certifications and background check.

Reports To

Middle School Athletic Director

Please note - Coaches who hold a ND teaching license - wages are reportable to the North Dakota Teachers Fund for Retirement (TFFR). The employee (coach) will contribute 11.75% of their salary and the District will contribute 12.75%.
