DAEP Administrator (26-27)

Position available for the2026-2027 School Year-4 Day School Week

Primary Purpose:

Direct and manage the instructional program andsuperivise operations of Decatur ISD DAEP. Oversee student behavior management academic instruction and collaboration with a students home campus to ensure a seamless educational transition. Direct the implementation of District policies.

Education/Certification:

Masters degree

Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate

Certified Texas Teacher Support and Evaluation System (T-TESS) appraiser

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of campus operations

Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness

Ability to manage budget and personnel

Ability to implement policy and procedures

Ability to interpret data

Strongorganizational communication public relations and interpersonal skills

Proven leadership skills

Certified teacher appraiser

Experience:

Five years successful experience as a classroom teacher
Two years of successful experience in instructional leadership roles
