Pay Range: $300000 - $380000 annually

Our laboratory located in Schaumburg IL (a suburb of Chicago) is looking to add a Cytopathologist to their team of 8 Pathologists. We are seeking a candidate that is AP/CP board certified with significant experience in Cytopathology. We are an industry leader and in this role you will join a great team of professionals with an outstanding support staff.

• Perform diagnostic interpretation of biopsy and/or cytology material

• Diagnosis to include gross and microscopic evaluation dictation and electronic release of reviewed cases

• Participate as an active medical member of the department with substantial diagnostic case responsibilities

• Participate in client visits peer consults and continuing education

• Interact with ordering physicians who request to speak with a pathologist

• Provide expertise and help to technologists and technicians to resolve problems

• Participate in departmental professional Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities e. g. Pathologist Competency Assessment Program

• Medical directorship opportunities are available

• Must be US board certified in AP/CP
• Must have completed a cytopathology fellowship or have significant cytopathology experience
• Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations
• Ability to communicate with high level decision makers in the organization
