Cybersecurity Engineer

A Cybersecurity Engineer develops and manages security solutions to safeguard an organizations digital assets. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities implementing security controls responding to security incidents and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Design implement and maintain security infrastructure including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems VPNs and endpoint security.
  
• Monitor networks and systems for security threats and suspicious activities.
  
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  
• Investigate and respond to security incidents perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  
• Develop and enforce security policies standards and best practices.
  
• Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  
• Perform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  
• Collaborate with IT teams to secure cloud network and application environments.
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST PCI DSS GDPR).
  
• Maintain security documentation incident reports and technical procedures.
  
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats vulnerabilities and security technologies.
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
  
• 25 years of experience in cybersecurity network security or systems administration.
  
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols operating systems (Windows/Linux) and cloud platforms.
  
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM EDR IDS/IPS firewalls vulnerability scanners and endpoint protection.
  
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python PowerShell or Bash.
  
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS Azure or Google Cloud).
