Interested Learn more at Instruments is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Veeco ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cybersecurity a willingness to learn ask questions and the ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of our overall security roadmap. The candidate will be responsible for vulnerability management endpoint security and security operations initiatives amongst other cybersecurity operations while participating in ongoing learning and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vulnerability scanning analysis and prioritization. Partner with IT teams to track remediate and validate vulnerability remediation.
  • Support enterprise-wide vulnerability health checks and reporting
  • Support endpoint security operations including endpoint detection response.
  • Assist with Cisco Umbrella policy monitoring and enforcement
  • Identify and track end-of-life (EOL) and unsupported systems supporting decommissioning efforts or formal risk exception processes.
  • Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and analyze security alerts.
  • Participate in cybersecurity projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the organizations security posture.
  • Engage in continual learning and development activities to enhance cybersecurity skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cybersecurity best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on larger projects.
  • Stay current on the latest technologies trends and practices in cybersecurity.
  • Implement best practices strategies methodologies and approaches to all assigned tasks and complex projects.
  • Up to 10% travel is required.
