This role is responsible for planning coordinating and overseeing the cybersecurity teams response to proactive emerging and observed threats with explicit focus on AIenabled attack techniques and AIrelated enterprise risks alongside traditional cyber threats. This role serves as a central coordinator across detection threat intelligence incident response and technology teams to ensure the organization is prepared for and can rapidly respond to AIdriven threat activity.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and maintain proactive threat scenarios and response playbooks with emphasis on AIenabled and emerging attack techniques.
• Coordinate crossfunctional response to observed and suspected threats ensuring timely triage escalation and containment.
• Partner with SOC detection engineering and threat intelligence to identify coverage gaps and improve detection for AIassisted attacks and automation misuse.
• Serve as the central coordinator and subject matter expert for AIrelated threats across cybersecurity technology risk and business teams.
• Produce executive and regulatorready reporting metrics and documentation demonstrating preparedness and response effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 8 years of cybersecurity experience with demonstrated leadership in threat management incident response or security operations.
• Strong understanding of modern adversary TTPs including AIenabled threats automation abuse and emerging attack techniques.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex security responses and communicate clearly with technical teams executives and regulators.

Salary Range:

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
