Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) to come join our Worldwide Public Sector SLG/EDU team to help customers realize sustained business value by accelerating their cloud transformation journey.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.

Key job responsibilities
Working with organizations in all stages of their cloud adoption Customer Solutions Managers (CSMs) are advocates guiding customers through the value realization enablement and governance of their cloud transformation journey.
Value Realization: You drive customer value realization and support transformation objectives within defined accounts or business units ensuring adoption leads to measurable outcomes such as efficiency gains cost savings or growth through the adoption of AWS services AWS partner solutions AWS best practices and other.
Enablement: You help customers achieve organizational cloud readiness cloud fluency and cloud skills through skills guilds experience-based accelerators training partners and other.
Governance: You implement governance to maintain alignment manage risks through effective escalation and establish and mature operating models / structures to drive scale and long-term success through the application of AWS frameworks and mechanisms.


A day in the life

Day-to-day you will balance your time between directly engaging with customers partners internal AWS teams and services to help our customers on their journey in the AWS Cloud.
You will work across AWS to apply your technical business and program management expertise to solve some of the most complex and challenging technology problems for our customers. You operate in complex or undefined environments with growing strategic perspective and minimal guidance applying established strategies to create clarity.
Working backwards from the customer you define opportunities that are strategic to the customers cloud journey including large-scale migrations data analytics digital transformation and innovation business agility and other. You build relationships with key project-level stakeholders influencing adoption decisions and building alignment across teams while gaining exposure to senior decision makers.
You will interface with partner and cross-functional teams customer team members and pre/post sales to drive detailed discussions seeking alignment to deliver cloud adoption and migration strategies with and on behalf of your customer. You translate technical and business requirements into comprehensive adoption roadmaps that align with business objectives ensuring solutions deliver measurable value.
You lead customer initiatives with challenging business objectives and technical requirements for specific workloads managing multiple streams of work and negotiating resources as needed. You create manage and deliver business and technology projects navigating risks or roadblocks and can execute in an ambiguous and changing environment.
To support the evolution of the AWS customer experience and/or Customer Solutions Manager discipline you are expected to share best practice learnings into a reusable asset for internal re-use. You begin mentoring team members on execution and technical approaches.

- Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering Math or a related field
- 3 years of leading large-scale technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership business case development realizing customer benefits and successful program completion experience
- Experience in a customer-facing role engaging with customer executives technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies
- Experience demonstrating technical breadth in AWS and/or cloud fundamentals

- AWS or other cloud certification
- Knowledge of the software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery or IT lifecycle
- Experience coordinating between project teams and customers to meet unique customer requirements
- project management certification such as PMP Scrum or other Agile certification

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
