The Albemarle County Service Authority (ACSA) a public water and wastewater utility serving the greater Albemarle area is seeking a qualified Customer Service Representative. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service communication and organizational skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assisting customers in person by phone and via email with billing inquiries service requests account changes payment options rates and water consumption concerns; processing customer payments new service applications service cancellations deposits and refunds; generating bills notices reports adjustments and work orders; reviewing meter reading data and assisting with high-consumption and leak-related inquiries; supporting collection activities and payment arrangements; dispatching personnel for service calls and emergencies via radio communication; and maintaining accurate customer records files and departmental inventories. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism accuracy sound judgment and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Qualified Candidates will possess:
Graduation from high school (GED considered)
3 or more years of job-related experience
Considerable experience in MS Office Programs; utility billing experience a plus
Experience in an office setting with extensive public contact and general knowledge of standard office methods and procedures
The ability to work as a team in meeting daily deadlines.
Hiring Salary Range: $52745 - $63294
