Customer Service Assistant-Surgical Services

Shift Details:

• 5:00 am -3:30 pm EST once per week.
• Vacation coverage throughout the year for full-time colleagues.

Position Purpose:

The Customer Service Assistant (CSA) serves as a liaison between patients families and clinical staff in an atmosphere

sensitive to each persons physical emotional social and spiritual needs. The CSA functions in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for teamwork and communication within the standards policies procedures and guidelines of the organization.

What you will do:

• Acts as liaison between family and clinical staff

• Directs people toappropriate destinationin a tactful and professional manner

• Provides support for patients before treatment and at discharge as directed by charge nurse

• or leadership

• Assistswith transporting patients into and out of Center/ Department as necessary

• Effectivelyutilizescomputer systemsappropriate toarea

• Practices proper identification procedures

• Understands and responds appropriately to emergency broadcast within thehospital/department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in dealing with customerservice

• Effective Communication Skills

• Demonstrates effective inter-personal skills

• Demonstrates priority setting organizationalskillsand the ability to remain calm under

• stressfulsituations
