Description

The Account Representative I serves as a liaison between Sherwin Williams customers internal departments and business partners. The Account Representative I is responsible for a limited number of external customer accounts provides administrative support to the Coil Customer Service department ensuring necessary tasks are completed to support the Coil business and meeting customer requirements. Responsibilities include performing multiple administrative tasks while working with members of multiple departments to respond to customer needs maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring efficient processing of customer critical information.



Responsibilities

  • Promptly process incoming orders received from external customers via email phonefaxand EDI.
  • Coordinate and communicate with several internal departments on a daily basis to ensure customer requirements are includes working directly with production scheduling shipping purchasing sales qualitycontroland other internal departments across five Coilcoatingsplants throughout the customer-required metrics and recurring reports.
  • Responsible fordailyinvoicingofcustomer shipmentsfrom 5 manufacturing sites and4 offsite warehouses.
  • Work with offsite warehouses to ensureaccurateshipment informationis receivedandinvoiceshipments daily.
  • Enter transfer ordersdailyfrom production facilities to3offsite warehouses to maintain appropriate inventory levels to service customers.
  • Receivingoftransferred material to3offsite warehousesand8customer consignment warehousesensuringaccuratetransactions and trouble-shooting inventory discrepancies
  • Process all customer consignment billingtimelyand accurately. Work closely withCSRsonconsignmentwarehouse inventory discrepancies toinvoice promptly.
  • Receivingmaterialin8customer consignment warehouses andcorrecting system errors with includes running weekly reports to troubleshoot failed transfers.
  • Process carrier freight claimstimelyto ensure Sherwin Williams is compensated for lost and/or damaged materialand updateValtrackwith required information.
  • Process customer credits and debitstimelyto clear short payments and/orclearcustomer AR balance.
  • Process field and line claims creditstimelyto customers andmaintainClaims spreadsheet.
  • Process customer rebates received fromFinance timely.
  • Owner of PrecoatBuyback programwhich entails extensive follow up with Precoat plant QAand receivingcontacts to ensuretimelyreturn andprocessingofPrecoat Debit Memosfor credit.
  • Investigate aged inventory and work with demand planningsalesand CS team todeterminesolutions to stagnate inventories.
  • Enter customer complaints in detailutilizingSherwin Williams internal quality system.
  • Follow-upon customer issuestimelyand obtain support with key personnel as needed.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have one (1) year of customer service experience
  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Have secondary education
