As a Custom Protection Officer - Armed Patrol in Rockville MD you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures access protocols and emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional and problem-solving manner documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location including interior areas exterior grounds parking areas and perimeter points helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor entrances exits and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access observe visitor activity and report suspicious behavior hazards and/or maintenance issues.
• Follow post orders and applicable laws related to an armed assignment including the responsible handling of authorized equipment and timely communication with local law enforcement and/or site leadership when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement security (such as Military Police Elite Military Forces combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement adult corrections or firefighter field
  • Bachelors degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associates degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
