Custodian-Trash Technician

Seeking Custodians/Trash Technician/Corrugate for logistics facility in Tucson AZ.

Overview:

• $16.50-17.00/hour depending on shift/position
• Composite safety shoes/boots required

• Corrugate Tech Fri-Sund 7a-5:30p
• Corrugate Tech Mon-Thurs 6p-4:30a
• Corrugate Tech Fri-Sund 6p-4:30a
• General Cleaner Fri-Sund 7a-5:30p
• General Cleaner Mon-Thurs 6p-4:30a
• General Cleaner Fri-Sund 6p-4:30a

Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:

General Cleaning - Restrooms Break Rooms Conference Rooms etc. This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas (make sure to bring coat): Yard area guard shack smoke area etc.

While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Removing and Bailing Cardboard
• Moving and stacking Pallets
• Floor cleaning
• Fork truck operation

• Collecting corrugated cardboard from packing and work areas.
• Emptying cardboard gaylords recycling bins and balers before they become full.
• Operating or feeding cardboard balers (if trained and authorized).
• Keeping recycling areas clean organized and free of hazards.
• Transporting cardboard to designated recycling or compactor areas using pallet jacks or carts.
• Cleaning around packing stations walkways and work areas.
• Responding to spills or debris that could create safety hazards.
• Replacing trash liners and maintaining waste and recycling stations.
• Following Amazons safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a janitor custodian cleaner or housekeeping position preferred

Frequent lifting carrying pushing or pulling greater than 50 lbs.

Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

Must have reliable transportation
