Custodian

LK Jordan has an immediate opening for an experienced Custodian in North West San Antonio. Ideal candidate will maintain a wide variety of various janitorial duties consisting of occasional heavy manual work of routine difficulty involving the cleaning of a local school. Typical schedule is Monday- Friday from 10:00am - 6:30pm and pay rate starts at $17.00 hourly. This is a temp to hire position that will go permanent based on performance.

Duties Include:

• Cleans classrooms hallways lounges rest rooms corridors stairways and other work areas.

• Washes walls ceiling and woodwork cleans and polishes lighting fixtures ceiling fans and trim washes inside and outside windows window-sills doors and door jams.

• Cleans rugs carpets and upholstered furniture dusts furniture cubicles and equipment.

• Sweeps vacuums and operates electric buffer to scrub wax buff and polish floors.

• Cleans commodes sinks walls and disinfects restrooms and water fountains.

• Replenishes bathroom supplies unclog commodes and sinks as necessary.

• Change fluorescent and standard light bulbs.

• Empties and cleans wastebaskets trash cans recycle and shredder bins.

• Transports all trash and waste to the proper disposal areas.

ALL candidates MUST:

• Pass a background check/ fingerprint check and drug screen.

• Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

• Have a high school diploma or GED.

• Be dependable and punctual.
