Custodian I Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Custodian I is responsible for performing routine cleaning and light maintenance duties to ensure the cleanliness sanitation and safety of school buildings and grounds. An employee in this classification is responsible for the cleanliness neatness and custodial care of the School Districts schools and properties. Although much of the work is repetitive in nature the employee must exercise initiative in carrying out responsibilities according to established practices under general supervision. Work is typically performed while the building is occupied and requires the ability to adjust routines to meet changing circumstances and respond to the requests or directions of various building users.
