CLASSIFICATION: Custodian I
EFFECTIVE:July 1 2026
WORK SCHEDULE:Monday-Friday (6:00 am - 2:30 pm)
STARTING WAGE: $25.37-$26.09
BENEFITS: Medical Dental Prescription Vision and Life Insurance
PAID HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Related experience
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Practical active listening skills
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of heating and cooling systems
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
- Knowledge of safety procedures
- Training in the proper care and storage of chemicals e.g. OSHA/PERRAC training
- Ability to read written instructions warnings and labels and understand verbal directions
- Mechanically inclined with an attitude to do minor repairs evaluate and assess mechanical concerns and report the problems to the Head Custodian for further evaluation
- Acceptance of building use and the need for flexibility in cleaning schedules
