Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain a clean safe and hygienic environment for ourDay Hab participants staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and understand the importance of cleanlinessin a Day Habilitation setting.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:

• Clean and sanitize classrooms bathrooms hallways offices and common areas daily
• Sweep mop vacuum and dust surfaces as needed
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
• Replenish supplies such as soap paper towels and toilet paper
• Assist with setup and cleanup for school events or activities
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate staff
• Follow cleaning schedules and protocols including those related to infection control

• Previous cleaning experience preferred especially in a school or childcare setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and safe usage practices.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (e.g. lifting bending standing for extended periods)
• Must pass background checks and meet all health and safety requirements.
