Custodial Technician Full Time

Greenville University is seeking a Custodial Technician responsible for maintaining a clean safe and well-maintained environment across campus facilities including academic buildings administrative offices residence halls and common areas. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring that all spaces are clean sanitary and presentable for students faculty staff and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms offices restrooms hallways and common areas.
• Sweep mop vacuum and polish floors and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms including fixtures and supplies.
• Restock paper products soap and other necessary supplies.
• Clean windows glass doors and interior surfaces.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for campus events meetings and special functions.
• Follow established safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Perform seasonal or deep cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing walking bending lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

• Work performed throughout campus buildings and occasional outdoor areas.
• May require early morning evening or weekend shifts depending on operational needs.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying environmental conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing walking bending reaching and lifting.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
