In order to increase its virtual catalog of asynchronous courses HSEP is seeking a virtual course creator for History courses for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. The virtual course creator will:
-Create a virtual course that includes a topic that is accessible and engaging to students in an alternative school setting -Align the content of the course to the Massachusetts State Frameworks in ELA -Create recorded videos of direct instruction that will provide students with a context of the content they are learning about in the course -Create a course that lasts one semester and includes separate units of study that end in skills appropriate summative assessments to determine student proficiency -Provide a curriculum map for the course to the Principal prior to beginning the course that details the content and standards that they hope to include -Are able to grade or support in grading the student work of the students enrolled in the course in the future
Requirements:
Familiarity with HSEP students and curriculum needs
Length of Contract:
July 1 2026 through August 14 2026
Contract Amount
Not exceed $2000.00
Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
