Job Summary
This is an as-needed non-benefited position with 8 hour shifts that could vary between days and evenings.
Per Diem employees receive an additional 10% premium-pay differential in lieu of benefits on top of hourly base rate!
Job Summary:
Assist Cafe customers handle cash operate cash register and perform clerical duties. Follow cash handling policies and procedures; Ensure proper accountability of monies issued; Complete daily cash reports. Participate in theme day decorating and wear appropriate attire. Maintain organized work area; Follow proper quality assurance and infection control procedures when preparing and serving food; Demonstrate proper use maintenance and sanitation of all equipment related to area of responsibility; Communicate suggestions concerns problems and unsafe conditions promptly to appropriate supervisor or manager; Exhibit professional courtesy toward patients visitors customers and employees; Perform other duties as assigned based on departmental needs. Float position will have varying schedule that may include cooking Ambassador position utility or cash register position.
Education and Training:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensures/Certifications:
Washington Food Handlers Card required.
Experience:
Two years in customer service/food industry preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Cash handling experience.
- Food handling experience and previous barista/coffee experience preferred.
- Must be organized and a quick learner.
- Friendly and a team player is a must!
- Cleaning experience preferred.
