The Work:
- Patient-Centric Approach: Review patient history and physicians orders. Educate patients on procedures equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Preparation and Administration: Administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice. Continually monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately.
- Equipment Operation: Prepare troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
- Imaging Procedures: Position patients and perform imaging procedures. Take corrective actions to address image quality issues ensuring accurate and timely reporting of exam findings.
You Have:
- State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required within 8 weeks after hire.
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
