Work Schedule:

90% FTE Day/Evening 7:00am-7:30pm with a two in six weekend rotation. Holiday rotation required. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Care Team Leader: Neurosciences

• Motivate and lead nursing staff while working in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
• Facilitate and participate in daily interprofessional rounds.
• Care for a variety of medical and surgical adult neuro patients to include post-surgical spine surgeries brain tumors craniotomy and ophthalmology cases along with neurological patients with multiple sclerosis ALS Guillain-Barre syndrome and trauma or ortho patients with multiple injuries/diagnosis or spinal fractures requiring orthotics.
• Become part of our interdisciplinary team of stroke professionals. UW Health is proud to be a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program in WI with the ability to treat the most complex stroke cases in the state.
• Help provide the highest level of diagnosis and treatment options for those with epilepsy. This unit includes a Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy Center as designated by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers.
