Founded in 1910 Dignity Health - Mercy Hospital is a 229-bed acute care nonprofit hospital located in Bakersfield California. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton tissues and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role you must deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow various patient positioning techniques and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

  • Responsible to perform quality procedures using the appropriate CT department routines.
  • Must be able to perform all examinations using all the CT equipment.
  • Selects and uses proper immobilization and supportive devices when necessary.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the anatomy associated with each exam.
  • Participates in PDCA quality improvements for the Imaging Department.
  • Performs exams in a timely manner so patient care is expedited as quickly as possible for turn around time.
Job Requirements

  • 1 year acute hospital imaging procedures
  • Medical Radiographer: CA
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT


Preferred

  • 1 - 2 years CT experience
  • Expanded IV Therapy Course
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
