Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton tissues and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow various patient positioning techniques and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

  • Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER Perfusions Routine Body Routine Neuro Cardiac and Interventional Procedures Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitats.
  • Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams.
  • Accurately enters selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
  • Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups such as perfusions & reconstructions on the 3-D workstation
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet. Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms.
  • Scans in documentation as required into PACS

Job Requirements

  • Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ

Preferred

  • Five years of CT experience
