Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a busy diagnostic imaging department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing advanced CT procedures administering contrast media and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Schedule
- Shift: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
- 40 Hours per Week
- Every Third Weekend Required
- Holiday Coverage as Needed
- No On-Call Requirement
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- High School Diploma or GED
- ARRT (R) Certification Required
- New Jersey Diagnostic Radiography License Required
- BLS Certification (AHA) Required
- CT experience required
- English proficiency (spoken written and reading)
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) Certification Preferred
- Experience with Epic and hospital RIS/HIS systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform complex CT imaging procedures according to department protocols.
- Review patient histories and verify exam appropriateness.
- Prepare and screen patients for contrast administration.
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access as required.
- Evaluate image quality and ensure diagnostic standards are met.
- Utilize PACS and EMR systems for image management and documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to ensure appropriate imaging studies.
- Educate patients regarding procedures and address questions or concerns.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety and patient care standards.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of anatomy physiology and radiographic positioning.
- Knowledge of CT imaging equipment software and hardware.
- Experience with PACS systems and digital imaging workflows.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
