About the Job:

A Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques producing sectional and three-dimensional images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner and assists with interventional procedures. The CT Technologist performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission Philosophy and Code of Conduct of Elliot Health System.

What Youll Do:

• Practices within the scope of practice of the computed tomography technologist as outlined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT)
• Performs venipuncture
• Prepares and positions patient for CT procedures according to the CT procedure manual.
• Provides radiation protection to patient staff and self-according to prescribed safety standards
• Records patient history unusual conditions/limitations and other information such as; exam time room number and technique

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography radiation therapy or nuclear medicine technology Required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification Required
• ARRT (CT) certification Required
  • ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
