Provide structures analytical support for GTF commercial programs with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine compressor includes airfoils rotors & shafts cases and actuation linkage systems.

What You Will Do

• Provide analytical support for preliminary & detailed design through development validation certification manufacturing and operational service.
• Cover validation testing (engine and rig) and data-reduction.
• Support in-service field investigations.
• Use FE and classical methods for strength stress/deflection vibration fatigue life damage tolerance containment kinematic and optimization analyses.
• Participate on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability performance cost and weight.
• Provide oversight and technical guidance for less experienced engineers and outsourced tasks.
• Coordinate with others to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods.
• Document and present results to management and external customers.

Qualifications You Must Have

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years of experience OR

• Advanced degree with 3 years of experience

• Experience using FEM for stress/deflection vibration and performing LCF HCF Fracture Mechanics or Kinematics analyses

• Background in structural analysis

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)

Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design development and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.

Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering Mechanical Design Structural Analysis and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
