Location: Atlanta GA

Shift:

• Tuesday - Saturday - Days (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM realistically)
• Wednesday - Sunday - Nights (11:00 PM - 9:00 AM realistically)

Position Description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the workload of up to 9-15 associates by assigning work functions to all staff as necessary to meet the needs of our customers
• Provide the highest quality service to our customers through efficient cost-effective accurate and damage-free storage of products
• Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety policies and procedures
• Ensure departmental key performance indicators (KPI) are being met
• Use and ensure WMS TruckMate and PeopleNet systems are updated accurately and promptly
• Assist with the implementation and coordination of special projects such as physical inventory and new accounts
• Identify needs and make recommendations regarding department procedures and process changes
• Ensure accurate inventory levels by maintaining accurate counts in the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Manage inventory control issues and corrections
• Train new hires to ensure understanding of company processes and procedures
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and corrective action
• Recognize and motivate associates
• Perform all other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelors degree preferred
• A minimum of three (3) years of leading and supervising in a warehouse/transportation environment
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS)
• Forklift operator certificate and/or license required

• Ability to build credible relationships with customers and develop high-performing engaged teams
• Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment ensuring adherence to safety standards and proactively mitigating risks
• Ability to evaluate alternatives and make sound decisions considering labor cost customer expectations and overall business impact
• Demonstrated analytical ability with strong attention to detail and advanced computer skills
• Solid judgment with proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to act with a sense of urgency to effectively resolve internal and external customer issues
• Proven track record of taking initiative and ownership both independently and as part of a team
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce professional reports and correspondence
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Deep commitment to continuous improvement and LEAN principles
