Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment motors pumps controls and related infrastructure
- Monitor facility systems and respond to alarms work orders and operational events
- Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to verify system performance temperatures humidity levels and equipment status
- Support operation and maintenance of:
- Air Handling Units
- Computer Room Air Conditioning units
- Direct Expansion systems
- Chilled water systems
- Pumps motors and variable frequency drives
- Assist senior technicians with corrective maintenance and root cause analysis
- Utilize building automation and building management systems to monitor equipment and investigate operational issues
- Complete work documentation and maintenance records in the computerized maintenance management system
- Support vendor activities and scheduled maintenance events
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout SDS PPE and site-specific protocols
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining operational awareness
- Support emergency response activities as needed in a live critical facility environment
Qualifications
- 35 years Commercial and/or industrial HVAC experience in a hyperscale / data center environment
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid drivers license
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics wiring diagrams and equipment documentation
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working on commercial rooftop units
- Experience with HVAC controls BAS or BMS systems
- Exposure to chillers boilers hydronic systems or critical cooling equipment
- Experience in data centers manufacturing healthcare industrial facilities or other mission-critical environments
- Experience supporting large-scale mechanical systems
- Journeyman-level progression trade school apprenticeship or formal HVAC training
